Friends for Life

It was 1968 - 1969, the Vietnam war was raging.  Four teenagers were readying to go.  They met at the New River Air Station in North Carolina.

Duncan from Connecticut; Frank from Alabama; Joe from Pennsylvania; and Ron from Florida.  They became combat buddies and friends.  They ate together, fought together, laughed together, lived together for 4 years.  They became and continue to be "Friends for Life".  They have stayed in touch through the telephone and email and finally after almost 40 years they hugged each other again in Winter Haven Florida.  A get together they planned, thoroughly enjoyed and even brought their wives to.  Three days spent visiting, remembering and reliving some of the most memorable moments was captured in the photos below.
